Back (Again)
Hello,
I have returned to the world of Stylish Teen Stockbrokers! I haven't updated in a very long time... But now, I will begin to elaborate on my plans:
1. Net Worth $5000 by 2013: I want to have $5000 in CD's, cash, and in savings/ checking accounts by July of 2013. This is my first "3-year plan". Unfortunately, I've fallen quite far behind in my goal as I have been focusing on school. (It kills!) It's a new year, so now I will jump back on the metaphorical bandwagon!
I plan to do so by:
1. Doing online surveys: Sites like Toluna, Valued Opinions, Synovate, and Opinion Outpost have reasonable surveys to do. I've already cashed in twice for $40! Even though that's only .8% of my total goal, every little bit counts.
2. Simply asking for money for gifts instead of material objects. I cost my parents enough as it is and it is important for myself to be more down-to-earth.
3. Babysitting. I'm not sure how I'll start doing this, since I have no idea how to get references, but I'll try it out and see how it goes.
4. Adsense online: Hubpages and blogs are great for creating small passive revenue streams!
5. Entertaining: Sometimes, there will be small musical events throughout the year in our community. Often, they pay $100-$200! Even just for teens like myself, this is a great way to make some extra revenue.
6. Typing: I might expand onto this later, but the idea was to become a typist/ word processor and charge per page. I can easily make $100-$200/job this way. The key is to not take on so many jobs that it interferes with my schoolwork.
